Into the Wild (2003) is Warrior Cats book one. The Sun Trail (2013) opens Dawn of the Clans, a prequel arc. Read that later, not first.
Why The Sun Trail looks first
Dawn of the Clans is set before the original books, and The Sun Trail is that arc’s book one. Chronology charts therefore open there. The official Warriors reading guide does not. It starts with The Prophecies Begin, the six books that opened in 2003, and it recommends Dawn of the Clans only after Omen of the Stars.
Super Editions, manga, and graphic-novel adaptations are not that door either.
