Nine Princes in Amber
It is book one (1970). Then the four Corwin sequels. The Merlin five come after The Courts of Chaos. Do not start on Trumps of Doom. Do not start mid-omnibus on a Merlin title.
Ten novels in two five-book cycles. Publication order is the only honest first path. The Corwin cycle is a complete visit. The Merlin cycle assumes that ending.
Short fiction and later shared-world Amber books by other writers are optional extras. They are not Amber 11 for a first Zelazny visit.
