Common question

Artemis Fowl series: all books in order?

Artemis Fowl series: start with Artemis Fowl (2001). Eight novels in publication order, then the Fowl Twins. The brothers are not book one. The Disney+ film is not a table of contents.

Short answer

Artemis Fowl (2001)

It is book one. The later novels assume that first bargain. Do not start with The Last Guardian. Do not start with The Fowl Twins. Do not start with the Disney+ film.

The eight novels are the series

Publication order. They are a character ladder. The boy in book one is not the boy in book eight, and that is the point of reading them in order.

Illustrated editions and film covers are the same novels. “All books” means these eight first.

Fowl Twins are a later generation

The Fowl Twins books sit in the same shop. They are not Artemis 9–11, and they are not a cleaner on-ramp. Read them after the eight if you want more of this house. Do not use them as book one.

The Disney+ film is a cousin. It is not a reason to skip to a later paperback.
