Book one is the 2015 novel
Publication order. A Court of Mist and Fury and A Court of Wings and Ruin assume that first bargain. A Court of Frost and Starlight is a novella pause after book three, not a secret war and not a new on-ramp. A Court of Silver Flames is Nesta’s novel. It is not a starting point.
Further ACOTAR novels have been announced. They are sequels. They are not a reason to wait, and they are not a reason to skip to Silver Flames.
